(The photos of the toucan, howler, and tapir are not mine, but I include them because they recall to me special memories during my trip. For instance, I enjoyed watching April, the resident tapir at the Belize Zoo. She just wouldn't get out of her swimming hole so I could snap her picture. The rest of the photographs come from slides. I used an HP 6200 flatbed scanner (which comes with a triangular plastic and metal contraption to reflect light back through the slide) to capture the image files, and Adobe Photodeluxe to try to clean up and enhance them. The results are, I think, acceptable, but the quality is not as high as if I had used a real film scanner.)
