Day 141
Garfield Ridge shelter
1804.7 miles

Today I covered only 10.3 miles, but since I had to wait for a shuttle from town back to the Trail, was carrying 6 days of food in my pack, and had to climb 3,700 feet to reach the summit of Mt. Lafayette, I'm not apologizing to anyone.  The weather forecast called for morning sun and afternoon showers, and that's what we got.  Fortunately I got to enjoy the awe-inspiring views from Franconia Ridge before any rain fell.  If this is all I see while traversing the Whites, it will still be worth it.
