I'm staying in an old Victorian house, popularly known as "Elmer's", and famous for its vegetarian meals. I'm taking a "zero-day" here to rest my knee and I'm wearing a new neoprene brace to see if that helps (soon, I'll be encased in enough foam rubber to go scuba diving). I even tried soaking yesterday in the therapuetic waters that give the town its name.
No new details on the woman who was killed by a bear(s) in the Smokies. No one
else saw the attack, so we may never know exactly what happened. No sense
worrying my Mom, so I don't think I'll call her until after I get through the Smokies.
