Day 45
Wise Shelter
514.7 miles

This shelter is full tonight, but it's a nice group of people and I've got all the space I need.  As we were talking we watched a rabbit nibbling on grass in front of the shelter, and later a couple of deer came by for a munch.  Maybe because we're within Grayson Highlands State Park the animals are protected and a little more tame.

There were rumbles of thunder this afternoon after I got here, but the sky seems to be clearing again.  I'm hoping tomorrow will repeat the pattern of the last few days and start off very clear in the morning.  I'll be crossing the highest section of the Trail in Virginia, and I hear the view from Buzzard Rock is outstanding.
