NEWS RELEASE
Official Neckware Sponsor Returns for 2004 Tour de Frances
Collin Sport Organisation, organiser of the Tour de Frances, announced today that the Official Neckware Sponsor again for this years tour will be Portia Clark Freshwater Pearls. At last years event each competitor wore a Portia Clark designed necklace in the race.
"We are so excited to have Ms. Clark and her company with us again this year," said Michael Collin, president and CEO of Collin Sport Organisation. "Her necklaces brought an added flair to last years event and we expect the same this year"
"We are proud to be apart of the Tour de Frances," said Portia Clark, president and designer of Portia Clark Freshwater Pearls. "The race gives us a unique platform to display our my new designs and get user feedback."
Portia Clark Freshwater Pearls were the only sponsor of last years event, but like Google, the Tour de Frances hopes to announce new partnerships in upcoming weeks. Portia Clark's husband, Joshua Clark will be competing in his second Tour de Frances, and looks to better his bronze medal performance of 2003.
Designed to take the stuffiness out of pearls, Portia Clark Freshwater Pearls is based out of Portland, Maine. Instead of stringing the pearls on a basic cream thread, a bit of color is added to each piece by using different colored silks threads. It's not about the bike, IT'S ABOUT THE BEER!!!
