About the Illustrator

Melissa Pelletier

Self-taught artist, Melissa Pelletier, has been drawing for as long as she can remember. While living as a student in Europe, she discovered that art would always play a major role in her life. There, at the age of 16, she had an illustration published on the cover of a literary arts book titled "Sketches".
Melissa works in pencil, watercolor, and ink. Her subject matter consists of everything from wildly imaginative dreamscapes flowing withClick to see larger version color and
energy, to photorealistic paintings of lighthouses and wildlife. Her award winning art is in public and private collections around the world. Her work has also appeared in the Boston Globe, The Lighthouse Digest, The Portland Press Herald & several other publications. Melissa exhibits in art shows throughout Southern Maine in the summer.
