Article XIII

    Duties of the Vice President - Members of Longest Standing to Preside in Certain Cases.
    The Vice President shall in the absence, resignation, or death of the President, do all and singular the duties required of the President, and in absence of both, the eldest member of the Society present shall preside.

Article XIV

    Duties of the Treasurer - To have Charge of the Funds, and Give Bonds—At the Annual Meeting to make a Statement of the Funds—His Compensation.
    The Treasurer shall settle with and receive all money in the hands of the Secretary quarterly, and oftener if he judge it expedient. He shall collect the interest due on the Society’s funds, and shall once in six months from the annual meeting in December, lay a statement of his accounts before them; he shall pay all sums ordered by the President on account of the Society, and whenever a new Treasurer shall be chosen, on his accepting the appointment, and before he enters upon the duties of his office, he shall give to the Society a bond for the due performance of the trust reposed in him, with one or more sureties, to the acceptance of a committee of three members to be appointed at the annual meeting for that purpose. On the election of a Treasurer for the succeeding year, and he having accepted and qualified himself as aforesaid, all the securities and cash of the Society,  shall be delivered over to him by the President, for which the Treasurer shall give his receipts to the Society, which receipt shall be kept by the President as evidence of the Society’s funds in their Treasurer’s hands — and the President shall direct the Secretary to record the same in the books of the Society. He shall at the annual meeting in December, and before a Treasurer is chosen, present an exact statement of the funds with the cash to balance his account before the Society; this being done to the satisfaction of the members present, a vote of the Society shall discharge him and cancel his bond. As a compensation therefore he shall receive such sum as the Society shall deem a just and proper payment for the services rendered.

    Duties of the Secretary—How Members are to be Notified—To Collect Arrearages—To Notify the Committee of their Appointment—To Make a Yearly Statement of Sums Due from Members—His Compensation.
