The NYCY Manta Rays Swim TeamThe Manta Rays swim team is based at the YMCA in Biddeford, Maine. The team is coached full-time by Lia Langeveld, head coach, and Buddy Whitehouse and Andy Gilbert, assistant coaches. The swimmers range in age from six to eighteen, and come from the Biddeford/Saco/Kennebunk area. As a team, the Manta Rays compete in the YMCA swimming league. If the individual swimmer chooses to, he or she can also compete in USA swimming.
