OCTOBER 25th, South Portland Democrats host No End in Sight

Doors open 6:00pm, Film Starts at 6:30pm, South Portland Community Center, 19 Nelson Road

Running 102 minutes. We usually enjoy some time afterward for discussion.  While admission is free, donations are always welcome to cover snacks. This is our first film of the monthly Wellstone Documentary Film Series for the 2007-2008 season.  We hope you can come and help us achieve a good turnout!

No End in Sight (2006) is an award-winning, in-depth documentary from filmmaker Charles Ferguson.  It examines the decisions that led to the invasion of Iraq and the handling of the subsequent occupation by President Bush and his administration.  Featuring exclusive interviews with government and military personnel who were in Iraq and detailed analysis, the film pulls no punches as it chronicles the twists and turns taken on the path to war.  Wesley Morris, reviewer for the San Francisco Chronicle, writes:  "A raft of documentaries have come along since the start of the war, some accusatory, some investigative, some empathetic, nearly all of them skeptical.  None is better argued or more searing than No End in Sight."
